Audrey Haning Scott, 97, formerly of Stanford, passed away at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Heritage Health in Normal, IL. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington for the immediate family. Officiating is assistant Pastor Jonathan Roberson, First Baptist Church of Clinton. Memorials may be made to Children's Hospital of Illinois, 530 NE Glen Oak Avenue, Peoria, IL 61637.
Audrey Phyllis Fulton was born June 6, 1923 in Cheyenne, WY to John C. and Edith L. Tabor Fulton. She married Orville M. Jenkins, Jr. on September 3, 1941 in Kimball, NE. He was killed in a plane crash during a training exercise on August 21, 1944 at Model, CO. Audrey married Warren E. (Bob) Haning on June 26, 1945 in Maryville, CA. He died January 26, 1999. James B. Scott and Audrey were married July 18, 2004 in Bloomington, IL. He died February 22, 2008.
Bob and Audrey had 3 sons Gregory Warren, Douglas Fulton, and John Kennedy. She is survived by Doug (Barb), Minier, John (Sarah), Romeo, MI, honorary son, Mark (LeAnne) Kunkee, San Diego, CA and daughter-in-law, Joy, Bloomington. Greg died on April 4, 2015.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Aaron (Carissa) Haning, Bloomington, Candy (Scott) Siltman, Clinton, Phil (Susan) Haning, Bloomington, Allison Haning, Bloomington, Amy (John) Garry, Long Beach, CA, Jeremy Haning, Bloomington, Kyle (Jenna) Haning, Plymouth, MI, Jonathan (Darsi) Haning, Waterford, MI, Derek Haning, Romeo, MI, Warren (fiancé Carly Sedlar) Chesterfield Twp., MI, Elaine and Dianne Kunkee, San Diego, CA. Great grandchildren surviving are Samuel, Johanna and Hazel Haning; Samantha, Whitney, Kaitlyn and Zachary Siltman; Jillian and Phillip, Jr. Haning; Kiersten and Cullen Garry. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Also preceding her in death were her parents, brother, John Fulton and sisters, Lucille Leonard and Lorraine Shotwell.
Audrey worked for the Adjunct General of WY in Cheyenne during WWII. She was a secretary at McLean County Bank, formerly Corn Belt Bank. Later she was a deputy clerk in the office of the McLean County Circuit Clerk, retiring in 2004.
She had been a member of United Presbyterian Church in Stanford and St. Luke Union Church in Bloomington.
Audrey and Bob enjoyed dancing at the Moose Lodge for many years. Her favorite vacation spot was Estes Park, CO.
She was a member of "the sewing club" in the Minier- Stanford area. Bob and Audrey volunteered for several years at OSF St. Joseph Hospital.
