Bloomington - Daniel B. Isaia, 65, of Bloomington passed away at 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
His Funeral Service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2016 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington with Rev. Bryan Burris officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the memorial home.
Interment will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield with Full Military Rites. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Dan was born on March 31, 1951 in Normal, Illinois, a son to Joseph and Cleo Bayles Isaia.
Surviving is his mother, Cleo Colaw of Springfield; two brothers, Joe Isaia of Bloomington and Gilbert Isaia of Bristol, CT; a sister, Linda (William) Sowers of Springfield; and many cousins, aunts, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Dan proudly served in the United States Army from 1970-1972, serving a year in Vietnam. He worked for several companies over the years, including Caterpillar and most recently, Illinois Wesleyan University.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing as a young man, and in later years, he enjoyed collecting artwork and also enjoyed reading. Dan was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and a member of Carlock Christian Church.
