Bloomington - Alonzo "Ray" Lemons, 48, of Bloomington, passed away at 2:48 a.m. at his residence on Thursday, March 24, 2017.
A Celebration of Life for Ray will be held from 12:00-4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Elks Club, 1717 RT Dunn Drive, Suite D, Bloomington, Illinois.
Memorials may be made to the family. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ray was born in Bloomington on May 9, 1968, a son to Wayne and Elizabeth Patterson Lemons. His mother survives in Bloomington.
Surviving are his children, Terrence "TJ" Lemons, Brennen Whiteside, and Jesse Lovins, all of Bloomington; grandchildren, Charis Elizabeth Lemons, and Rasheem King Worlds, and two on the way, all of Bloomington; his siblings, Olegra (Dwight) Lewis, Aroni (Paul) Ferrarini, and Earnestine "Josie" (Leonard) and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his friend Michelle.
He was preceded in death by his father, and 2 brothers, Wayne and Rory Lemons.
Ray loved sports especially football and basketball. He was a great cook and loved food.
Overall he loved his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all.
