Anita Contois

Anita Weber Contois, 88, of Bloomington, passed away on September 9, 2019 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bloomington with Pastor Chad Lueck officiating. Burial will be in Florida National Veterans Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Kibler-Bray-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or Wounded Warriors.
Anita was born on March 3, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York, a daughter to Henry Fredrick and Edna Wright Weber. She married Donald F. McDermott on July 3, 1949 At St. John's Lutheran Church in Brooklyn, New York. He preceded her in death in 1987. She married Warren J. Contois on May 11, 1997 at Peace Lutheran Church in Holiday, Florida. He preceded her in death in 2002.
Surviving are her children, Colleen (Michael) Minnes of Bloomington, IL, Donald (Linda) McDermott of Neenah, WI, James (Cynthia) McDermott of Springfield, MO and Bronwen (Jeffrey) Stirling of Sierra Vista, AZ; stepdaughters, Cheryl Zwanzig of Rockford, IL and Patti (Jeffrey) Aurentz of Grove City, OH; nineteen grandchildren; and twenty two great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by sisters, Edna Perez, Elaine Weber and Ginerva Schloss; and brother, Henry F. Weber, Jr.
Anita graduated from Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Ohio. She was employed as a LPN at numerous hospitals.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bloomington, Mercy School of Practical Nursing of Springfield, Ohio, and Alumni Association of Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn, New York.
Anita was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed.
