Azielis Harris

Azielis Philip Harris, 43, of Bloomington, transitioned to his heavenly home on Thursday, August 2, 2018.
He was born January 20, 1975 in Bloomington, Illinois to the union of Remelle and Edward Harris, Sr.
Phil accepted Christ as his savior at an early age. He was a member of Loving Missionary Baptist Church where he served in the choir.
Phil was known by many for his infections laugh and smiles. He was a God fearing man and was prepared for what God had in store for him. He had a strong value of family unity and peace. He was a loyal son, brother, father, friend, and fiancé.
Surviving are his fiancé, Stephanie Kelly of Bloomington; mother, Remelle (MacArthur Edwards) Harris of Bloomington; children, Philip Harris of Bloomington, Jordyn Thornton of Bloomington, Azaya Harris of Bloomington, Giovonni Harris of California, Azaria Harris of Bloomington, Azavien Harris of Bloomington, Zamir Harris of Bloomington, and Aaliyah Harris of Bloomington; brothers, Robert Aaron Harris and Rodney Harris, both of Bloomington; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward J. Harris, Sr. and his brother, Edward J. Harris, Jr.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Bloomington with Rev. William L. Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Bloomington. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
