Bernyce Taylor

Bloomington - Bernyce Taylor, 96, of Bloomington, passed away at 8:04 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Heartland Health Care in Normal.

Private family services will be held. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the Family with arrangements.

Bernyce was born on February 23, 19 21 in Bloomington, Illinois, a daughter of Harry and Blanche Levell Bell.

Surviving is a daughter, Patricia Shipp of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Joe Shipp II of St. Louis, MO, Sharon Shipp of Columbia, SC and Rodney Shipp of LaSalle and Holly (Patrick) Crutchfield of Shreveport, LA; five great grandchildren, Brianna, Kasey, Cody, Blaize, Alexa and Braidy; two great great grandchildren, Cianna and Kenzie and a brother, Howard Bell of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kathryn Evans.

Bernyce was employed at Mennonite Hospital in Bloomington for over 40 years, retiring as a supervisor in the kitchen.

She was a member of Wayman AME Church.
