Bloomington - Beverly H. Laskowski, 94, of Bloomington, passed away at 7:10 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Martin Health Center in Bloomington.
Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington with Pastor Thomas Wirsing and Pastor Terry Strom officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service and from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Kibler Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington.
Entombment will be at Park Hill Cemetery Mausoleum in Bloomington. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran School, or to Gideon's International.
Beverly was born April 21, 1922, a daughter to Walter and Alvina Bonke. She married Dale Laskowski on June 20, 1948 in Bloomington. He preceded her in death on April 30, 1985.
Surviving are her children, Steven (Mickey) Laskowski, of Heyworth, Cheryl Corbitt, of Muskego, WI, Teri (Mike) Meismer, of Bloomington, Diane (Steven) Nalefski, of Bloomington; ten grandchildren, Jeff (Sarah) Laskowski, Bryan Corbitt, Kristy (Gary) Plassmeyer, Jacob Meismer, Megyn (Andrew) Baer, Pete (Colleen) Meismer, Abby (Rick ) Meister, Karin (fiancé Christopher Antonetti) Nalefski, Gary Nalefski, and Mark Nalefski; Twelve great-grandchildren, Madeline, Ayva, Cayden, Ronan, Ayden, Brooklyn, Kinsley, June, Brody, Everly, Nora, and Rhodes; a brother, Melvin Bonke, of Bloomington; a sister, Carol (Wayne) Springer, of Bloomington; a cousin, Delmar (Barbara) Beitz, of Bloomington; one sister-in-law, Marge Laskowski, of Bloomington; her best friend Bettie Zimmer, of Marietta, GA; and many nieces, nephews, and extended cousins.
She was a Cubs fan, the historian for her South Hill Neighborhood Association, a member of Gideon's Auxiliary, and a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Beverly was valedictorian of Bloomington High School Class of 1940.
Beverly loved to bake and was well known for her Christmas cookies and fudge. She attended her children's and grandchildren's many activities and games. Beverly was devoted to her faith and family and charmed all who met her with her smile.
Beverly's family would like to thank all of the staff at Martin Health Center for their compassionate care for her, with a special hug to Tamequa for taking such good care of "her girl".
