Bloomington - Beverly Ann Owen, 76, of Bloomington passed away at 2:11 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at her residence.
Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington with Pastor Terry Strom and Vicar Chuck Bahn officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Interment will be at East Twin Grove Cemetery in Bloomington. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church and OSF Hospice.
Bev was born on June 5, 1940 in Bloomington, Illinois, a daughter to Joe D. and Vida J. Erdman Cagley. She married Alan Owen on October 13, 1961 in Bloomington, Illinois.
Surviving is her husband, Alan of Bloomington; a son, Charles (Diana) Owen of Lenexa, KS; three grandsons, Kevin (Amanda) Owen, Brandon (Andria) Owen and Christian Owen; great grandson, Elijah Owen; three brothers, Lyle (Shirley) Cagley of Bloomington, Charles (Judy) Cagley of Bloomington and Donald Cagley of Cullom; sister in-law, Linda (Dave) Nafziger of Bloomington and brother in-law, John (Nydra) Owen of Stanford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Perry Owen.
Bev was born and raised in rural Bloomington. Her joy was being a loving wife , mother and grandmother. She truly loved her family and helping with her grandsons. She enjoyed traveling, always wanting to see what was beyond the next hill. Bev was a great cook and loved cooking for her family.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington.
Bev will always be remembered for the twinkle in her eyes, her big friendly smile and hearing her say, ‘I am fine and dandy'.
