Bloomington - Beverly Marie Puckett, 79,of Bloomington, passed away at 1:05 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Heritage Health in Normal.
Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington with Rev. Steve Hardin officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00-10:00 a.m., both at the memorial home.
Interment will be in Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington. Memorials may be directed to Roland Manor Baptist Church.
Beverly was born on January 15, 1939 in Bloomington, Illinois a daughter to Clifford W. Short and Margratha D. Winkelman. She married Robert E. Puckett on September 11, 1956 in Bloomington. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2004.
Surviving are three sisters, Marilyn Gore, Judy Brady and Donna Fojtik, all of Bloomington and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Beverly was born and raised in Bloomington and later moved to Washington, Illinois with her husband. She loved all her angels of her church family at Roland Manor Baptist Church in Washington. She loved hard work and never would sit still. Beverly enjoyed teaching bible school, cooking. planting flowers and taking care of her yard.
The family would like to thank all who helped provide loving care by OSF Hospice and Heritage Health, and all her friends at the church that helped her out when needed.
Beverly was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Bev's favorite Bible Verse that she lived by-Corinthians 13:13-No abideth Faith Hope and Love. But the greatest of these is love.
