Normal - Carolyn June Cruser, 88, of Normal, passed away at 6:29 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Heritage Manor in Normal.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church in Normal with Pastor Matt Horine officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington. Memorial contributions may be left to a charity of the donor’s choice. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
Carolyn was born on April 12, 1934, a daughter to Finley "Jack" and Edna (Craig) Taylor. She married Harold W. Cruser on February 18, 1954 in Chenoa, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2016.
Surviving are her children, Jim (Mary) Cruser, Tom Cruser, and Jack (Deb) Cruser, all of Bloomington; daughter-in-law, Terri Cruser of Bloomington; siblings, Don (Alice) Taylor of Sun Valley, California, Louise (Marv) Springer of Delavan, Charles (Alyce) Taylor and Ken (Elly) Taylor, both of El Paso; fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter, Cali, son, Mike, and step-granddaughter, Jessica.
Carolyn was a homemaker and also a partner, with her husband, in their car repair business, Cruser Auto Repair. She and her husband were both founding members of Calvary Baptist Church, where she was an active member. Carolyn loved to learn about her family’s genealogy.
