Christo "CC" Anderson, Jr., 85, of Bloomington passed away at 11:20 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at The Lofts Nursing Home in Normal.

His funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Bloomington with Rev. Toby Carlos, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Full military rites will be accorded by Bloomington-Normal American Legion Honor Guard. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Bloomington. Memorials may be directed to the family.

CC was born on January 8, 1934 in Tishomingo, MS, a son to Bertha M. and Cristo C. Anderson, Sr.

Surviving are his children, Andredia Anderson of Normal, Christopher "Sonny" Anderson III of Bloomington, Brenda Fondren of St. Louis, MO, Vernessa Anderson Mann and Fellicia Anderson Reed, both of Atlanta, GA; ten grandchildren, Satarie Heard and Amari Anderson both of Bloomington, Keiandra Berger, Maretia Anderson, Scott Olson, and Chaz Isaacson all of Normal, Cameron Anderson, Brandan Joseph, and Jafar Mann all of Atlanta, GA, and Courtney Robinson of St. Louis, MO; sister, Ruby Southward; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, and two sisters.
CC proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a crane operator. He was also a member of the Godfrey L. Miller Elks Lodge #1776 of Bloomington.

He loved his family and friends and they loved him. CC will be greatly missed.
