Clyde T. Butcher 63, of Bloomington, IL passed away at 4:07 p.m. on Friday, June 16th 2022 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center.
His Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday June 25th 2022 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Bloomington. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time for service at the church.
Clyde was born April 11, 1959, a son to James Butcher and Magnolia Smith.
Surviving are his brothers, Robert (Joni) Butcher, James (Rhonda) Butcher and Timothy McDonald and his stepmother Mary Butcher Sisters: Margaret Tiana Forrest, Kirchell Butcher, Beverly Pedro, Shanda(Demonte) Hodges and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces nephews and cousins.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, paternal and maternal grandparents and his brother Jerome McDonald.
Clyde was baptized at an early age at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where he was a member of the choir. He later became a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
He graduated from Bloomington High School. In high school Clyde enjoyed playing basketball on the school team. Later in life he became an avid bike rider and you would see him all around town.
He worked for many years as a groundskeeper for Evergreen Cemetery and later he had also worked as a custodian for Kohl’s and Lowes.
Clyde was always willing to help others, and from the moment you met him you knew he was “Good People”
The Family of Clyde T. Butcher with heartfelt gratitude, sincerely thank everyone for their many acts of kindness shown to our family. You showed us love though phone calls, cards and prayers, We pray God will continue to bless each of you.
