D. Paul Miller, 101, of Normal, Illinois passed away on November 3, 2018 at Westminster Village. His memorial service will be held at 4:30 pm on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Normal Mennonite Church. Visitation will be for one hour prior to services.
He was born on August 30, 1917 in Protection, Kansas to David and Maggie Miller and married Anna Wiebe on August 14,1948. Survivors include his daughter; Brenda McCasland (Midway, UT), two sons; Richard (Evanston, IL) and Donald (Midway, UT), six grandchildren; Darrick, Nara, Brian, Christopher, Shanna, and Michelle and two great-grandchildren; Layla and Miles.
D. Paul pursued many interests in life. He rose out of the Dust Bowl as a Mennonite Conscientious Objector, PhD, IWU Professor, mountain climber, gardener, clock repairman, author, and athlete, who loved the woods and most of all people. He will be missed by many.
Memorials may be donated to the Normal Mennonite Church or Camp Friedenswald.
