Danny J. Schenkel, 60, of Bloomington, passed away at 1:34 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at his residence.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, January 10, 2020 at the Double Tree Hotel in Bloomington with Pastor Brian Hastings officiating. A reception will follow at the hotel. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Danny was born on January 9, 1959 in Bloomington, a son to Clarence and Marjorie Daly Schenkel.
He is survived by a son, Tyler (Marisol Arreola) Schenkel of Bloomington and a daughter, Sarah (Matthew) Lenz of Hopedale. Danny is also survived by a granddaughter, Ava Marie Lenz and a grandchild on the way; a brother, Timothy (Shirlene) Schenkel of Bloomington, a sister, and four nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a step-father and a brother, Gerald Schenkel.
Danny was employed with Custom Made Homes in Bloomington for over 20 years, beginning his employment in 1977, until the company closed. He was currently employed as a maintenance man at the Double Tree Hotel in Bloomington since 2008.
He was an animal lover and adored his many pets throughout the years. He was a good man and was loved by many people. He will be greatly missed.
