Bloomington - David Lee "Uncle Dave" McDonald, 72, of Bloomington, passed away at 9:52 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019 at his residence in Bloomington.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington with Pastor Spencer McPherson officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the memorial home.

Interment will be in Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington. Memorials may direct to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) or to the American Cancer Society.

Uncle Dave was born on January 21, 1947 in Bloomington, a son to Allen and Esther Wilson McDonald.

Surviving are his brothers, Robert A. McDonald of Heyworth and Donald (Angie) McDonald of Bloomington; nieces and nephews, Joyce (Tennyson) Osborn of Bloomington, Brenda (Doug) Arvik of Heyworth, Chris (Kady) McDonald of South Bend, IN, Tim (Michelle) McDonald of Downs, Rob (Kathryn) McDonald of Bloomington, and Allen, Vicki, Mike and Marion; great nieces and nephews, Allen and Judy Land of Peoria, Christina and Matt Grove of Bloomington, James and Amy Land of Bloomington and many great great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary C. Arnold, and nephew, Bobby.

Lovingly known as Uncle Dave to many, his sense of humor will truly be missed.
