Wapella - Dottie Rosalie Summers, 77, of Wapella passed away at 5:20 a.m. on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Heritage Manor in Normal.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington with Pastor Keith Barclay officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday and from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday, both at the memorial home.

Interment will be at Long Point Cemetery in Wapella. Memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Cure Alliance or a charity for dementia or neurological disease.

Rosalie was born on August 31, 1939 in Wapella, Illinois, a daughter to Dudley and Alice Karr Summers. She married Keith Harry Harley in 1987. He preceded her in death in 1989.

Surviving are her children, Dennis Wagner of Clinton, Julie Hinrichs of Edwardsville and Jill (Michael) Smith of Eureka; grandchildren, Jamie, John, Chris, Alex, Kelly and Kate; great grandchild, Arabella; a sister, Linda Summers of Wapella; and three brothers, Ken (Kae) Summers of CA, James (Kay) Summers of Clinton and David (Terri) Summers of Farmer City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jeffrey Mark Wagner and a brother, Albert Summers.

Rosalie was employed at Canadian National Railroad, formerly Illinois Central Gulf Railroad from 1973-2004 when she retired.

She was a member of Church of Christ and Daughter of American Revolution, most recently treasurer of the Village of Wapella.

Rosalie was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was greatly loved and will be truly missed.
