Duane DeMay

April 17, 1953 — November 7, 2018

Duane F. DeMay, 65, of Normal, passed away at 7:25 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal.

His funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Eastview Christian Church in Normal with Pastor Jason Sniff officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. prior to services at the church. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Interment will be in Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington. Memorials may be directed to Community Cancer Center in Normal.

Duane was born on April 17, 1953 in Geneseo, Illinois, a son to Joseph L. and Madeline DeCraene DeMay. He married Julie Link on February 12, 1999 in Normal, Illinois.

Surviving is his loving wife of 19 years, Julie, of Normal; daughter, Stephanie DeMay of Tennessee, daughter, Callie (Greg) Frazier of Downers Grove, stepson, Ben (Ashley) Dolk of Washington, DC, step daughter, Sarah Dolk of Bloomington and daughter, Jenna DeMay of Normal; two grandsons; sister, Carol (Chuck) Pettis of East Peoria and brother, Dan (Sandy) DeMay, of East Moline and sister in-law, Jan DeMay of Northglenn, CO.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ken DeMay.

Duane was the owner of DeMay Construction since the early 1990's.

He was an active member of Eastview Christian Church for 8 years, and was involved in many of the ministry programs at the church. Duane said these were 8 of the best years of his life.

Duane was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed.
