Edna L. Dossett

Edna L. Dossett, 100, of Arlington Heights formerly of Bloomington passed away on October 21, 2023 at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday October 27, 2023 at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington with Pastor Chuck Bahn officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights, IL.

Edna was born on January 21, 1923, in Covell, IL a daughter of Elmer and Bertha (nee Rettke) Burkhart. She married Alfred Dossett on April 21, 1946 in Covell. He passed away on December 19, 1997.

She is survived by her daughter Diane (Tom) Murphy and her son Don (Linna) Dossett; her grandchildren Michael (Alison) Murphy, Ryan (Kristen) Murphy, Emily (Tyson) Higbee and Jake Dossett; her great-grandchildren Campbell, Mallory and Harper Murphy and Addison and Kenny Higbee; as well as her nephew Phil (Sandy) Warlow.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Dossett, her parents, her sister Marge Warlow as well as her nephew Doug Warlow.
