Eli John Wheet Eli John, son of Michael and Laura Wheet of Heyworth, was born June 15th, 2020 at 4:24pm and passed away peacefully at 6:02pm in his Daddy's arms. Eli's one hour and thirty eight minutes on Earth was entirely too short, but we know he will remain in our hearts forever.
Eli leaves behind his parents Michael and Laura, big sister Harper, and twin brother Levi. He is survived by his grandparents, Greg and Tracy Klawitter, and Greg and Chris Wheet, as well as great grandmother, Joanne Utter. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Eli was preceded in death by his great grandparents Richard Utter, Warren Klawitter and Donna Newland as well as Wallie and Pat Wheet and John Paine. Also preceded in death are his uncles, Mark Klawitter and Bob Fitzgerald.
A private memorial service will be held Friday, July 3rd at Kibler Brady Ruestman Funeral Home in Bloomington. If you are in attendance at the service, the family asks that you be mindful of social distancing and wear a facial covering.
The outpouring of love, support, and prayers from our family and friends truly means so much to us during this time. In lieu of flowers, we would be honored to have memorials sent to The Chicago Institute for Fetal Health as the doctors and staff gave us a chance to have two boys on Earth. We will forever be grateful for the compassion and dedication shown by the doctors and nurses to help us get to hold Eli, even for just a short time. Memorials may be sent to Lurie Children's Foundation, ATTN: Kara Frost 225 E Chicago Ave. Box 4, Chicago, IL 60611 or submitted online at www.luriechildrens.org/donate.
Eli John, Mommy and Daddy will love you forever. You hold a special place in our hearts and we know you will always be watching over your brother and sister. " I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."
