Eric Augspurger

Manteno - Eric K. Augspurger, 52, of Manteno, formerly of Normal, passed away unexpectedly at 12:05 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 of natural causes.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 27, 2019 at Mennonite Church of Normal. A private family burial will be in Funk's Grove Cemetery in McLean, Illinois. Memorials may be directed to Sierra Club Foundation or Amnesty International. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
Eric was born on October 24, 1966 in Bloomington, a son of Don and Ramona (Peacock) Augspurger. Surviving are his parents, Don and Ramona Augspurger; sister, J'ne Augspurger; and two nephews, Adam and Caleb Augspurger, all of Normal. He is also survived by several aunts, an uncle, and cousins.
Eric was raised in Normal, attended Unit 5 schools, and graduated from Normal Community High School. He graduated from Illinois State University with bachelor's and master's degrees in Industrial Technology. He worked for Goodheart-Willcox Publisher in Tinley Park, Illinois as a senior editor. In addition, he authored several books. Eric was a member of Mennonite Church of Normal.
Eric was an intelligent and talented man with many interests and abilities and will be greatly missed.
