Erin "Paw Paw" Leathers, 57, of Bloomington, passed away at 4:58 a.m. on Monday, August 19, 2019 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington surrounded by his loving family.

A private family service will be held with Harold Jones officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24th from 2-4:00 p.m. at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Erin was born on April 27, 1962 in Bloomington the son of Wayne Leathers and Clara (Keller) Leathers.

Surviving are his children, Justin (Tabitha) Leathers of Bloomington, Jeremy (Samantha) Leathers of Maroa, and Breanna (Cody) Leathers-Stewart of Bloomington; grandchildren, Macinzie, Autumn, Nathen, Miley, Hunter, and Winslow; sisters, Shelly (Gary) Lacy of Bloomington and Dana (Don) Russell of Normal, and brothers, Evan (Donna) Leathers of Bloomington and Eric (Barb) Leathers of Towanda. Erin is also survived by his mother, Clara Leathers of Bloomington.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Leathers and grandmothers, Lila Keller and Alma Morris.

Erin enjoyed working many years as the owner of the Danvers Inn restaurant in Danvers and later as the owner of US Auto Sales car dealership in Bloomington.

He was an outgoing, devoted, and selfless man who was very active in his children's and grandchildren's lives. He loved nothing more than spending time with all of his family, including his dogs Cisar, Buster, Ridley, and Ozzy.

In his spare time, Erin loved fishing, antiquing, and whipping up a five-course meal for any occasion. He collected lighthouses, globes, and Dale Earnhardt memorabilia. He enjoyed watching Nascar, the Chicago White Sox, and Da Bears.

Erin was a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He touched the lives of many and will be missed by all.
