Ethelyn Nicholas

Ethelyn ‘Marie' Nicholas, 71, of Bloomington passed away at 5:37 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Loving Missionary Baptist Church in Bloomington with Rev. William L. Johnson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Bloomington. Memorials may be made to the family.

Marie was born on October 29, 1946 in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, a daughter to Ralph and Geraldine Grey Hamilton, Sr. She married Roosevelt Nicholas on August 5, 1966 in Bloomington.

Surviving are her husband Roosevelt Sr. of Donaldsonville, Louisiana; children, Roosevelt, Jr. Of Bloomington, Chantel (Theo III) Eddins and Derrell (Tiffany), all of Bloomington; three sisters; one brother; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Terrance and a brother.

Marie was employed by Eureka Williams for over 28 years.

She was a member of Loving Missionary Baptist.

Marie enjoyed cooking, caring for her family and helping anyone in need.
