Harold Cruser
Normal - Harold W. Cruser, 84, of Normal, passed away at 4:44 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Heritage Health Care in Normal.
His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2016 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington with Rev. Jerry Kamphuis and Rev. Ralph Wingate officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the memorial home.
Interment will be at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Harold was born on April 19, 1931 in Sartell, Minnesota, a son of William E. and Mertie Jones Cruser. He married Carolyn Taylor on February 18, 1954 in Chenoa, Illinois.
Surviving is his wife, Carolyn Cruser of Normal; three sons, Jim (Mary) Cruser, Tom Cruser and Jack (Deb) Cruser, all of Bloomington; daughter in-law, Terri Cruser of Bloomington; brother, Lyle (Carol) Cruser of Wabasha, MN; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Cali; a son, Mike; a step granddaughter, Jessica and 11 brothers and sisters.
Harold was a self employed auto mechanic for many years in the Bloomington Normal area. He was a founding member of Calvary Baptist Church in Normal.
He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, brother and grandparent who dearly loved his family and always put his family first.
The family would like to thank the Illinois Cancer Center, OSF St. Joseph's Hospice and Heritage Health Care in Normal for the compassionate and quality care Harold received.
