Justin D. Simmons

Justin D. Simmons of Bloomington, Illinois passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023. 

His service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Harvest Church (712 North Locust Street, Bloomington) with Pastor Tammy Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington. 

Justin was born August 7, 1985 in Lubbock, Texas to Wayne D. Simmons and Cheryl L. Simmons Hutson. 

Justin and Ashleigh (Turley), his longtime love, have three children - Ashton (Michelle Salgado) Simmons, Olyvia Simmons, and Preston Simmons. One grandchild, Leandro Simmons and one grandchild, Aylin Simmons preceded him in Death. 

He leaves behind his father, Wayne D. Simmons, and his mother, Cheryl (Rob) Hutson; sister, Danielle Lovett and her children Jarrin, Jaylee, and Jackson; sister, Emily (Zach) Young; brother, Tyler (Rachel Moore-Perry) and his children Kiara, Daivon, and Trinity; his grandmother, Lois Simmons; and other family members, Brandon and Taryn Cross and children, and Josh Turley and Sierra Vanhook and children. Justin had many aunts and uncles and cousins whom he loved greatly.

Justin was a long time employee of Tempte. He loved welding and fabricating, he was a builder and an inventor. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and spending time with his children and family. Justin also loved his dog Tucker whom he referred to as bite bite! Justin had a big heart and loved many and we know his faith was grounded in Christ our Lord. Fly high Dae Dae.
