Normal- Kane "Kaner " Michael Wheeler, 5, of Normal walked into the arms of Jesus at 10:05 a.m. on April 9, 2018 while laying in his mothers arms surrounded by his family.

Kane was born on December 17, 2012 at Childrens Hospital of Illinois, Peoria a son of Josh and Alicia Harmon Wheeler.

Survivors include his parents and sister Noa, of Normal; maternal grandparents, Randy and Lin Harmon, of Normal; paternal grandparents, Jon and Kathy Wheeler-Stark, of Bloomington; maternal great grandmother, Pat Harmon, of Heyworth; maternal great grandparents, Floyd and Carol Morefield, of Bloomington; aunts and uncles; Aaron (Kim) Harmon, of Bloomington, Ashley (Phil) Hull, of Bloomington, Ryan (Carolyn Lacox) Darnell, of Normal, Courtney (Aaron Lorsbach) Darnell, Bloomington, Beth (Nulfo) Hernandez, of Florida, Emily (Scottie Robertson) Wheeler , of Bloomington; nine cousins; several great aunts and uncles and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Debra Harmon; paternal grandfather, John Wheeler; maternal great grandfather, Commodore Harmon; maternal great grandparents, Walter and Noreen Atkins; paternal great grandparents, Joe and Joan Birckelbaw; paternal great grandparents, Jim and Aggie Wheeler.

His funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Eastview Christian Church, Normal. Pastor Tyler Hari will officiate. Entombment will be in Park Hill Mausoleum. His family requests to wear your favorite super hero clothing to his visitation which will be on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 4 to 7 at Eastview Christian Church, Normal. Kibler Brady Ruestman Memorial Home is assisting his family with his arrangements.

Kane truly was a super hero to his family and friends. His family is very thankful for all the love and support shown to them by his many nurses, doctors, therapists, support staff, teachers and friends that helped make his journey easier.

Kane's CHARGE family was also very important to him and his family and in lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his honor may be directed to either CHARGE Syndrome Foundation, www.chargesyndrome.org or Kane Wheeler Family c/o 804 Vanderbilt Dr., Normal,IL 61761.
