Kathryn Schott

Normal - Kathryn M. Schott, 83, of Meadows, formerly of Normal, passed away at 3:45 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Meadows Mennonite Home.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Epiphany Catholic Church in Normal with Father Eric Powell officiating. There will be no visitation Internment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Normal. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Kathryn was born November 2, 1933 in Hickory Plains, Arkansas, a daughter to Harvey and Veda Hamric. She married Charles E. Schott on June 22, 1977, he proceeded her in death.

Surviving are her daughters, Lisa (Don) Fehrman, of Bloomington and Dana (Caswell) VanCleve, of Carrizo Springs, TX; her son, Jim (Karen) Irwin, of Indian Land, SC; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Kathryn was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church in Normal. She worked for many years at the Bloomington Knights of Columbus Father John Ring Council #574 in the restaurant and the banquet rooms. Kathryn loved her family, especially her grandkids. She loved the beach as well as gardening and canning her vegetables.
