Bloomington - Kathy M. Person, 57 of Bloomington passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at her residence.
Her funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Bloomington with Rev. Sylvester Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Friday at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
Interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington. Memorials may be made to the family.
Kathy was born on October 27, 1958 in Hollis, OK, a daughter to Melvin Story and Irene Harsha. She married James Person on January 28, 1976 in Bloomington.
Surviving is her husband, James Person of Bloomington; her children, Jamie, Keith, Kevin and Samara Person, all of Bloomington; grandchildren, Jalyn, Kaden, Avery, Elias and Jamecia Person; brothers, Jimmie Wheeler, Larry Meyers and Jason Harsha, all of Bloomington; sister, Debbie Wiley of Bloomington and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandchild, Landyn Person.
Kathy was employed at Illinois State University, Normal in Building Services for 16 years.
She was an avid follower of Christ. Kathy enjoyed reading the Bible and sharing her experiences. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
