Kent Herald

Kent H. Herald, 56, of Bloomington, passed away at 3:06 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

His funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington, with Pastors Tom and Bonnie Lentz officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the memorial home.
Interment will be in Rosewood Cemetery in Bloomington. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Kent was born on November 23, 1962 in Bloomington, the son of Roger and Judy Kaufman-Meadors Herald.

Surviving are his children, Amanda Dickhut of TX, Kenny Raymond of AZ, and Jamison Herald of Bloomington; his nieces and nephews, who he raised, Kurt (Amy) Herald, Katrina (Josh) Westfall, Kayla Herald, Nick Herald, and Kara Herald all of Bloomington; brothers, Chris Herald of Springfield and Glen Meadors of Bloomington; a sister, Karen (Ed Kletz) Donaldson of Bloomington; stepfather, Joseph Meadors of Bloomington; aunts, Darlene Koberlein, Ethel Taylor, and Nita Herald and a great uncle, Tom (Sue) Kaufman. Kent is also survived by his dear friend, Shari Oakley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dale Herald; an aunt, Connie Wylie, and six uncles, Harlan Herald, Wilard Herald, Elmer Herald, Floyd Herald, Sr., Larry Kaufman, and Jim Kaufman

Kent graduated from Bloomington High School with the class of 1981. He then attended ABC Electrical Trade School and was employed as an electrician for many years.

Kent enjoyed playing poker and spending time with his family. He was a loving son, father, uncle, brother, cousin and friend. He will be greatly missed.
