Normal - Linda Sue Prescott Teutsch, 69, of Normal, formerly of Bloomington, passed away at 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal after a long battle with cancer and pulmonary disease.
Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington with Pastor Danny McCubbins officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to services on Saturday, both at the memorial home.
Interment will be in Park Hill Mausoleum in Bloomington. Memorials may directed to YWCA in Bloomington.
Linda was born on May 16, 1949 in Bloomington, a daughter of Roy and Madge Welter Crawford. She married Daniel K. Prescott, Sr. on December 23, 1967 in Bloomington. He passed away on March 5, 1997. She married Kenneth G. Teutsch on October 20, 2002 in Peoria.
Surviving is her loving husband, Ken, of Normal; children, Kari (Henry) Felde of Peoria, Daniel K.. Prescott, Jr. of Normal and Michael (Mindy) Prescott of Bloomington; step children, Kathryn Teutsch of Bloomington and Douglas Teutsch of Arizona; grandchildren, Cassandra, Collin, Olivia and Julia; step grandchildren, Brianne, Diego, Lucas, Raegan and Kennedi; and half sister, Jean Ellen Menken of Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and half sister, Virginia May Paul.
Linda graduated from Bloomington High School in 1967. She worked for Beich Candy, Eureka Williams, both in Bloomington and later GTE, retiring from Verizon in 2003 after 30 years of service.
Linda was a true friend to everyone she came in contact with and was never ill until the very end of her journey. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
