Loraine Coleman, age 69, of Bloomington, Illinois transitioned to her heavenly home and gained her wings on Saturday, September 28th, 2019.
She was born on May 16, 1950, to her mother, Roberta Jumper and her father, Roy Locke. Loraine was employed at the Eureka Williams company for twenty plus years and then crossed over to being a care giver at Homes of Hope for fourteen years before retiring. She received her High School equivalency certificate through the Illinois Board of Education in 1993. She was married in holy matrimony to Larry Coleman Sr. on November, 14th 1969. Out of this marriage came her two loving boys, Larry and Shelton Coleman.
She accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age. Loraine lived a Christian life as a faithful servant to God. She was a dedicated member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where she served in the food pantry.
Loraine was known to her loved ones and friends as "Snookie". A devoted Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Niece, Aunt, Cousin, and friend. She loved to care and give unconditionally.
Loraine leaves to cherish her memories her Mother, Mother Roberta Jumper of Bloomington, IL.; her Father, Roy Locke of Carbondale, IL.; two sons, Larry (Chastity) Coleman of Bloomington, IL., and Shelton (La'Ronda) Coleman of Atlanta, GA.; one daughter, Raine Jumper of Bloomington, IL.; her five sisters, Anita and Delores Jumper of Bloomington, IL., Tracy, Julie and Donna Locke of Carbondale, IL.; her six brothers, Jimmy(Red), Alonzo, Tommy, Timmy Jumper all of Bloomington, IL., and Roy Locke Jr. of Carbondale, IL.; and Burton (Tukey) Perez of Bloomington, IL., her seven grand children, Amarah Coleman of Chicago IL., Jalen Coleman of Bloomington, IL., Zarrea Coleman of Chicago, IL., Kaden Coleman and Haven Coleman of Bloomington, IL., Martise Nunnery of Bloomington, IL., and Jermarion Blakney of Atlanta, GA; Along with a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and cousins.
She was proceeded in death by her brother Joe Jumper, and her grand daughter Krystal Coleman.
