Lula Bell Reed, 73, of Bloomington passed away at 1:57 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at The Loft Rehabilitation and Nursing of Normal.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Bloomington with Rev. Brian Peacher, Sr. officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 until the time of the service at the church. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family.

Lula Bell was born on December 11, 1946 in Greenwood, Mississippi, a daughter to Maddie (Car) and Foster Johnson.

She leaves to cherish fond memories, her husband, Arthur Lee Reed, Sr., her daughter Angel (Wayne) Rivers of Decatur; sons, Jessie Reed of Bloomington, Charles Reed of Bloomington, Arthur (Cassandra) Reed, Jr. of Bloomington, Anthony (Sonia) Reed of Bloomington, and David (Agnes) Reed of Decatur; brother, Willie Johnson of Bloomington. Additionally she leaves twenty-one grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and her best friend, Bea Brooks.

Lula Bell was preceded in death by her father, Foster Johnson, mother, Maddie Car Johnson, son, Marion "Lucky" Reed, two sisters, and four brothers.
