Champaign - Lynn J. Dean, 64, of Champaign passed away at 1:35 p.m. on November 7, 2019 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
An open house Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at The Dean Family Farm Shed for family and friends. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
Lynn was born on June 1, 1955 in Bloomington, Illinois, a son to Merrill and Eljean Benning Dean.
Surviving is his partner in life, Anne Cook; stepchildren, Jill (Jeff) Weathers and Jason (Genevieve) Cook; granddaughter, Emma Weathers; siblings, Tom (Debbie) Dean, Cathy (Ross Barclay) Frasor, Julie (Mike) Exum, Harry (Kris) Dean and Cheryl (Larry) Shepherd; sister in law, Marty Dean; thirteen nieces and nephews and his lifetime best friend, Terry Winters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Richard Dean.
Lynn was the biggest Ohio State Buckeyes fan that ever was. He was loved by his family and friends, all of which he had a nickname for. He loved being with his friends and loved ones. He loved to cook and could often be found by the grill. Lynn will be dearly missed.
