Marcella Christensen

Marcella Christine Christensen, 84 of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away November 15, 2019. She was born April 19, 1935 in Dale Township, Bloomington to Herbert and Gertrude Kath Alsene. She married Paul Cox August 9, 1953 in Bloomington. He died in 2010. She married Robert Christensen March 21, 1970. He died in 2016.

Surviving is one daughter Penny Alicia Cox Harmeyer (Ken) of Honolulu. Stepsons Alan, Eric and Niels Christensen. Grandchildren Kordon Harmeyer, and Peri (Warren) Ellis. Five great grandchildren Nei'lea, Dajha, Ke'andra, Eli, and Gabriel. One sister, Carolyn (Donald) Ott of Danvers. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and three brothers.

She graduated from NCHS in 1953. She lived a full and wonderful life. She traveled throughout Europe, Israel, Japan, United States, and the Caribbean. She shared her love of Jesus with all she met. Her favorite thing was to give others a butterscotch candy, too. She started married life in Alaska and she went to heaven from Hawaii.

A graveside service will be Saturday December 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with services.
