Marjean Jiles

Arrowsmith - Marjean L. Jiles, 86, of Arrowsmith passed away at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at OSF St. Joseph after a four-year battle with kidney cancer.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington with Pastor Chuck Bahn officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington.

Interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington. Memorials may be directed to the Community Cancer Center in Normal, the National Kidney Foundation, or to Trinity Lutheran Church.

Marjean was born January 12, 1933, a daughter to Walter and Clara Sablotzke Sieg. She married Eugene Jiles on December 11, 1955 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington; he survives in Arrowsmith.

Also surviving are her sons, Steven (Carolyn) Jiles of Bloomington, Brian (Kim Stewart) Jiles of Le Roy, and Kerry (Angie) Jiles of Farmer City; grandchildren, Kara (Geoffrey) McAdam of Gibson City, Cameron (Ashley) Jiles of Arrowsmith, Stephanie (Maciej) Zawierucha of Davenport, Iowa, and Jesse (Jaisi) Jiles of Anchor; great-grandchildren, Waylon Jiles, Gavin McAdam, and Grace McAdam; sisters, Luanne (Marvin) Huth and Janet (Carl) Peifer, both of Bloomington; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Marjean was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington and a member of the Sabina Social Club.

Eugene would like to thank the staff who cared for Marjean at the Gibson Area Hospital and OSF St Joseph Medical Center.
