Marlyn Gore

Normal - Marlyn Jean Gore, 83, of Normal, passed away at 7:53 a.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at McLean County Nursing Home in Normal.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington. A visitation will be held one hour prior until the time of the service at the memorial home.

Entombment will be at Park Hill Mausoleum in Bloomington. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.

Marlyn was born on October 7, 1936 in Bloomington, a daughter to Clifford and Margratha Winkelmann Short. She married Leroy Gore on July 7, 1953. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1998.

Surviving are her children, Virginia (Ralph) Davis of Bloomington, Daniel (Debbie) Gore of Heyworth, and Sharon (Dewey) Kessinger of Downs; grandchildren, Jason, Amanda, Adam, Andrea, Jessica, and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Austin, Madi, Gage, and Jase; sisters, Judy Brady and Donna Fojtik, both of Bloomington; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and sisters Carlene and Beverly.
