Bloomington - Mary Jean Holtz, 85, of Bloomington, passed away at 3:15 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Bloomington Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Bloomington.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday January 24, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bloomington with Fr. Jeffrey Stirniman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to mass at the church. Kibler-Brady- Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Bloomington. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Church.
Mary was born on April 17, 1932 in Mt. Sherman, Kentucky, a daughter to Hugh R. and Mary Katie Underwood Warren. She married John Holtz on November 9, 1957 in Bloomington.
Surviving is her loving husband of 60 years, John Holtz of Bloomington and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony, her parents, and two brothers Hughlin and James.
Mary was employed at the City of Bloomington Finance Dept. for many years before retiring.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
She was a long time member of the McLean County Genealogical Society and Red Hat Society. Mary enjoyed bowling, BINGO, sewing, knitting, and needlework, China painting, traveling and especially sharing time and conversation with people.
