McLean - Matthew Bennett ‘Mouse' Warren, 2, passed away peacefully in his sleep early Monday morning, September 10, 2018 at his home in McLean, Illinois.
Matthew was born September 29, 2015 in Joliet, a son to Andrew and Elisabeth Gron Warren.
He is survived by his parents; siblings, Phillip, Carter, Hailey, Bradley, and Annabella; maternal grandparents, Roann and Daniel ‘Poppa' Gron; paternal grandparents, Sandra and Clay ‘Tractor' Warren; paternal great-grandparents, Patricia and Robert Bates, Irene and Charles Warren; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Matthew was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Mary Jo and Jim Melvin, Florence Gron, as well as two cousins, Molly and Grace Newberry.
His memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington with Pastor Ed Wright officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the memorial home.
In honor of Matthew, memorials may be made to tubiefriends.com, an organization that provides children with feeding tube equipped "build-a-bear" companions.
Matthew adored his snow globe and sitting outside where he could watch the wind through the trees. He loved floor time with Poppa, holding hands with Grandma Ro, playing glow sticks swords with Tractor, swimming with Grandma Sandy, and being wheeled around in his brown chair by his siblings. Most of all, he basked in the love and care his parents showered upon him. They advocated for him to receive the best possible care and dedicated their lives to making him as comfortable as possible.
Matthew only knew how to love and will continue to share his love through his contributions to medical science. He will be greatly missed by all of those who cared for him.
