Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home with the memorial service immediately following.
Miranda was born on May 11, 1998 in Bloomington, a daughter of Donald and Lisa Davis Johnson.
Surviving are her parents, Donald and Lisa; brothers, Alex and Trey Johnson of Bloomington; paternal grandfather, James Johnson of Bloomington; maternal grandparents, Gary, Sr. and Ruth Davis of Havana; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by a paternal grandmother, Pearl Johnson.
Miranda graduated in December 2015 from Normal Community West High School. She attended Heartland Community College and was planning to transfer to Illinois Wesleyan University in the fall of 2019. She had a goal of becoming an Occupational Therapist to work with Veterans.
When younger, she enjoyed taking family vacations with her parents and brothers, especially if there was a warm and sunny beach. She also enjoyed traveling outside of the United States to places like The Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and her favorite, Aruba.
Miranda had a sweet and gentle spirit that touched the hearts of everyone she came into contact with. She was loved and will be deeply missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Miranda had a huge heart for animals, especially her dog Django and his brother Gizmo. Because of her love of animals, memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of Central Illinois.
