Nakayla Catchings

Normal - Infant Nakayla Catchings, 11 mos, of Normal, passed away at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017 in Joliet, IL.

Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to her service at the memorial home. Cremation rites will be accorded and a private burial will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Nakayla was born in Normal on April 26, 2016, a daughter to Oceana Mohead and Amari Catchings.

Surviving are her mother and step-father Oceana Mohead and Damian Cook, both of Joliet; grandmother, Crystal Parks, Chicago; grandmother, Christiana Mohead, Normal; great-grandmother, Sharon Brown, Normal; great-great-grandmother, Lela Mae Parks , Pacoima, CA; step-grandmother Sharonne Cook; Uncles, Joshua Rials and Jeffrey Carson Jr.; and aunt Amia Catchings.

She was preceded in death by her father, Amari Catchings.
