Noleen Jacobs, 92, of Bloomington passed away at 10:19 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the memorial home with Chaplain Lyn Ahearn officiating. Entombment will be at Park Hill Mausoleum in Bloomington.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, ALS Association, or the American Cancer Society. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Noleen was born on March 29, 1926 in Terre Haute, IN a daughter to Ralph and Addie (Myers) Mars. She married Bernard "Bernie" Jacobs on April 9, 1944 in Greencastle, IN. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2005.
Surviving is a son, Neil (Mary) Jacobs of Stanford; daughter in law, Margaret Jacobs of Thompson, OH; sister in law, Maxine "Mac" Mars of Coto De Caza, CA; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren, and six great great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by sons, Barry and David; daughter in law Pat, and a brother Ralph "Jupe" Mars Jr.
Noleen was employed as a receptionist at McLean County Bank for over 10 years before she became a part of Jacobs Insurance Agency in 1962. She was the office manager for 43 years, retiring in 2005. Noleen was a past member of the Women's Golf Association.
She was an avid golfer and participated in many Bloomington/Normal Women's Golf Championships. Noleen was a loving mother, and grandmother and she will be greatly missed.
