Patricia Ray Walsh

Patricia Ray Walsh, 89, of Bloomington, passed away at 10:40 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Luther Oaks in Bloomington.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Kibler Brady Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington. A graveside service will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, following the visitation.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE) or Calvary Baptist Church in Normal.

Patricia was born on August 18, 1934 in Goose Creek, TX, the only daughter of Martin and Regina Jones Walsh.

Surviving are her brother, John (Jan) Walsh; sisters-in-law, Ednamae Walsh and Carol Walsh; cousin Mary Lou Hinkle; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dale Walsh and Richard Walsh; and a niece, Karen Walsh.

Patricia started working at Caterpillar Inc. in 1955 right after her twenty-first birthday. She retired from Caterpillar in late summer of 1989, after almost 34 years of employment.

She joined Faith Baptist Church in Pekin when she was a young adult, and she volunteered at the church for many years. She became a member at Calvary Baptist Church after she moved to Normal in 2004.

Pat was a co-founder of SOLOS, a single women's fellowship ministry. She traveled around the world with her mother, brothers, nieces and nephews. She was an avid photographer, and she enjoyed adventures and retreats with her dear friends in SOLOS.
