Bloomington - Penelope Ann Hotz, 84, of Bloomington, passed away at 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service with interment for both Penelope and Victor will be held at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Bloomington later this year. Individuals interested in attending should leave their contact info at [email protected]. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
Penelope was born on May 2, 1932 in Chicago, a daughter to the late Edward and Ann Coleman. She married Victor P. Hotz in Chicago on November 2, 1956. He preceded her November 29, 2003.
Surviving are her children, Christopher Paul Hotz of Bloomington; Kimberly Ann (David) Trachtenberg of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Ashley Rose (Jeff) Rasmussen of Lombard, Dana Michelle (Nico) Apfelbaum, of Port St. Lucie, FL and Jessica Kimberly (Nathanael) Gibson of Normal; great-grandchildren, Elijah Apfelbaum, Paige Gibson, and Emelia Rasmussen.
Penelope was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family dearly.
