Bloomington - Renee Floyd, 52, of Bloomington, formerly of Chicago, passed away at 3:13 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at her residence.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February, 21 2017 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Bloomington with Rev. Frank L. McSwain, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Renee was born July 23, 1964 in Chicago a daughter to John H. Floyd and Barbara A. J. Taylor-Floyd. To this union two boys and four girls were born.

Renee leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Bobby Floyd, Darius Floyd, Travis Floyd, and Antwon Floyd, all of Bloomington; her daughters Ricara Floyd and Kiara Floyd, both of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Bobby Floyd, Jr. and Darius Floyd Jr., both of Chicago, Donnie Latham and Kewuan Caldwell, both of Bloomington; one brother, John Floyd, of Bloomington; two sisters, Sharon Floyd and Germaine Floyd, both of Bloomington; six nephews, Eric, Darryl, Patrick, and Deonte, all of Chicago, and Javarius and Jamar, both of Bloomington; three nieces, Dekia and Tamela, both of Chicago, and Tamika, of Bloomington; three uncles, Anthony, Cedric, and Robert, all of Georgia; seven aunts, Venus, Jeanette, Barbara Jean, Henrietta, Loretta, Lena, and Velma, all of Indiana; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Waiting to receive Renee Floyd into heaven are her paternal and maternal grandparents, her father, John H. Floyd, her mother, Barbara A. J. Floyd, her brother, Lynell, and her sister, Termaine.

Renee attended Tilden High School and graduated from Harper High School. She was employed at CDT in Chicago and also worked for Bridgeway as a supervisor in Bloomington. She was baptized on January 22, 2017. Renee was affectionately known as "Skinny Dip."

What Renee enjoyed most was loving her kids, riding her bike, listening to music, and playing cards. Renee loved her assistant, Charmaine, who was with her through her long struggle with cancer.

Renee, you will be loved and missed dearly. The struggle and pain is over, rest in peace.
