Richard Roeske

Bloomington - Richard "Rick" R. Roeske, 69, of Bloomington, passed away at 9:47 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at his home.

A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2020 at East White Oak Union Cemetery in Rural Carlock (Dixon Ford Road, Kansas Township). Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to his family.

Rick was born on October 12, 1951 in Peoria. He married J. Diane Monkman on June 7, 1970 in Bloomington. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Stacey (fiancé, Mark Hinkley) Roeske of El Paso and R.C. (Dawn) Roeske of Mackinaw; grandchildren, Christina Roeske of Pekin, Ricky and Joey Roeske, both of Mackinaw, Logan Ball and Kessa of El Paso, and Gabe Orris of Bloomington; brother, Ron (Donna) Roeske of Bloomington; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bill Roeske, and niece Nicole.

Rick was an avid mechanic and liked to tinker. He was a member of the Laborers' Local 362 and First Baptist Church of Toulon. He earned a bachelor's degree in Theology and his faith was very important to him. Rick proudly served his country from 1970-1972 in the United States Marine Corps.
