Carlock - Robert L. “Bob” Crump, 83, of Carlock, passed away at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the memorial home. 

Interment will follow the funeral service at Troyer Cemetery in Carlock. In memory of  Bob, memorial contributions may be left to the Carlock Fire Department. 

Bob was born on December 8, 1938 in Jacksonville, Illinois, a son to Virgil and Annabelle (Chapman) Crump - he was one of their seven children. He married Joann Waldschmidt on August 4, 1962 in Metamora. 

Surviving are his wife of sixty years, Joann Crump of Carlock; children, Darlene (Michael) Stephen of Bloomington, Bryan Crump of Carlock, Rick (Debbie) Crump of Austin, Minnesota, Tina (Wayne) Litwiller of St. Charles, Missouri, and Dusty (Jamie) Crump of Lexington; grandchildren, Damon, Tyler, Doug (JoAnna), Megan, Lucas, and Kaylyn; and four great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Bob proudly served his country serving in the United States Army. He was a farmer for many years and worked with grain and livestock. Bob later worked for and retired from Caterpillar. During retirement, he and Joann began Crump Family Gardens where they grew and sold many types of produce.
