Normal - Robert L. Robertson Sr, 47, of Normal, passed away at 12:10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
His Celebration of Life service will be at 4:00 p.m. on on Saturday, June 11, 2016 Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington with Pastor Dave Berry officiating. A visitation will follow from 4:30-7:00 p.m. at the memorial home on Saturday. Cremation rites will be accorded.
A Celebration of Life will be also be held from 4-7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Storybrook Country Club in Hanover, Illinois.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Robert was born in Rochelle, Illinois on February 10, 1969, a son of Marlin Sr. and Ruth Cavanna Robertson. He married Anna M. Charneski on December, 29, 1994 in Galena, Illinois.
Surviving is his wife, Anna Robertson of Normal; daughter, Jordan Robertson and son Robert Robertson Jr both of Normal. He is also survived by his father, Marlin Robertson Sr of Hanover; two brothers, Marlin Robertson Jr, of Hanover and Don Robertson, of Savanna; niece, Taylor Buchanan, of Nora; nephews, Marshall Robertson, of Hanover and Austin Robertson of Bellevue, IA; step-sister, Rebecca Henkins of Stockton; step-brothers, James Fisher of Gibsonton, FL, Robert Henkins of Hanover and Jack "Chuck" Henkins of Hanover; as well as many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Robertson; grandparents; step-sister, Leanna Miller and step-brother, Gary Henkins.
Robert was the owner/president of Direct Mail Simplified in Bloomington for many years.
He loved to golf and was a member of the Central Illinois Senior Amateur Tour and a past president of the Ironwood Mens Golf Association.
Robert was an avid sports fan, especially the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls and Indianapolis Colts.
He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Robert had a big warm heart and a great sense of humor. He was deeply loved and will be truly missed.
