Ronald Fillenworth

Bloomington - Ronald H. "Ron" Fillenworth, 81, of Chenoa, formerly of Bloomington, passed away at 1:54 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the memorial home.

Entombment will be at Evergreen Mausoleum in Bloomington. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Ron was born on June 6, 1937, in Mansfield, a son to Harold H. and Elizabeth Howard Fillenworth. He was married to Bonnie Wilborn for several years.

He is survived by his son, Marty E. (Debra A. Brown) Fillenworth of Bloomington.

Preceding him in death are his parents and his stepmother, Mildred Amdor Fillenworth.

He graduated from Gibson City High School in 1955 and later worked for Illinois State University, where he was employed for 30 years before retiring. https://ssl.gstatic.com/ui/v1/icons/mail/images/cleardot.gif

Ron loved classic country music, NASCAR, cars, the Chicago Cubs and listening to the radio. He loved spending time with his son Marty and Debbie. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
