Shirley Folks

LeRoy - Shirley E. Folks, 83 of LeRoy, formerly of Heyworth passed away at 10:55 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at her residence.

Her funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday October 21, 2016 at Christ Lutheran Church in Normal with Rev. Jonathan Huehn and Rev. William Jensen officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington.

Entombment will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or OSF Hospice.

Shirley was born November 8, 1932 in Bloomington, a daughter of Carl F. and Dorothy Schlick Steege. She married James Folks on February 14, 1951 at Alton, IL. He preceded her in death on September 21, 2009.

Surviving is her daughter, Deborah (William) Huber of LeRoy and a grandson John Lewis of Indiana and sister in-law, Mary Steege of Hopedale.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Folks Lewis; brother, Carl J. Steege, Jr. and his wife, Eleanor and brother, Warren Dale Steege.

Shirley was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Normal and was employed at Eureka Williams Company.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
