Bloomington - Shirley K. Lindsey, 71, of Bloomington passed away at 7:25 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
A private entombment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum in Bloomington. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Shirley was born on January 22, 1946, in Bloomington, a daughter to Clarence and Lucille (Rueger) Meyer.
Surviving are her sons, Todd (Sarah) Lindsey of Bloomington and Bill (Sheila) Lindsey of Waynesville, MO; a daughter, Shawn (Joe) Sternbauer of Schaumburg; grandchildren, Joshua (Melissa) Lindsey, Jason Lindsey, Blake Lindsey, and Joe Sternbauer V; sisters, Bonnie (Robert) Thornton of Normal, Evelyn (Bob) Reeser of Bloomington, and Thelma (Chuck) Sheppelman of Normal; nieces, Tami Sheppelman of Alabama, Michelle (Bill) McGee, Pam (Dean) Eckhardt, Margaret (Gary) Davis, and Claudette (Dwayne) Vaughn, all of Bloomington; and several great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her infant son, Brian Lee Williams, and an infant brother, Merle Meyer.
Shirley was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed going on walks and spending time with her family as often as possible.
