Tina Marie Brown-Haney

Tina Marie Brown-Haney, 55, of Gibson City, passed away at 2:44 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Gibson Area Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Tina was born on November 18, 1967 in Spring Valley to John Haney Sr. and Mary Lou Haney-Fleming.

Surviving are her children, Johnathon (Amanda) Brown, Felicia (Dezra) Henry, and Jaclynn Haney; 12 grandchildren; 6 brothers, and 3 sisters. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dakota Haney; and a brother.

Tina was a strong, independent woman. She was a force to say the least, who made her presence known. Even though she had no filter, she had the biggest heart any human could ever have. Tina was a single mother to her three children. She beat cancer multiple times, survived a motorcycle accident and multiple car accidents. Her family finds peace in knowing that she is no longer suffering. No more pokes from hospitals. No more prescribed medication she has to consume. Tina’s purpose was to leave everlasting impressions on the hearts of the people she held close. She leaves her family and friends with moments that can be cherished forever. Tina was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
